Just what I was looking for - pond/food safe and nice and thick!
I used this pond liner as a liner for my self-watering plant container, and I wanted to make sure the material was thick (so it wouldn’t leak) and pond safe (so I could grow vegetables for consumption). This liner fit both criteria.
It was a bit tough to get it positioned well, and it didn’t like fitting into an L-Shaped trough, but it was much easier to use one big sheet vs cut 2 pieces and try to use seam tape (sadly, I tried both). In the end, it doesn’t need to look pretty – the dirt covered all the imperfections anyway.
Point is, it worked!
20x20 Pond Liner
Excellent Product, Thanks.
Thick, heavy, and easy to work with; Very happy fish
We built up and out on an existing pond, as we were having to add a new liner anyway (no injuries to the deer or fish, old liner damaged badly). This liner is big, it is heavy, due to the weather we were not able to lay it in the sun for a few hours to make it easier to work with. We were a few hours between storms on the install. It took 4 people, one at each corner to pick it up and put it in place. Once we got the center of the liner to the center of the pond, the liner fell in place, making it very easy to work with, smoothing it out was really all that was required. Then putting the blocks (that will get a stucco treatment later) on to hold it in place. It took about an hour to get the liner situated “just right”, some blocks on it, water back in the pond, and the fish back in their home. Those fish are some happy fellows, they are loving the new liner and the extra space.
my wife and i dug a pond and used this liner. it is of good quality and thick 45mill it is heavy so you need someone to help when installing. but our pond is looking good. it has been set up now for about 8 days with just water in it to make sure their is no leaks. and i am happy to say it has not leaked any water now it’s time for the fish.
Excellent choice, if you can pay the the extra
The HDRPE pond liner is an excellent choice for a small to medium size pond. Unlike its stiffer/cheaper sister the HPDM liner, the HDRPE is relatively flexible and can be contoured and “molded” to the shape and varying depths of the pond. But make no mistake; this pond liner (in the 20 X 20 size) is heavy and bulky. It really takes two or three people to get it unfolded and formed to the pond.
The liner is plenty strong. Excellent for resisting abrasions.
